As for the illustration, I think it screams you as far as colours go, but I sort of miss your animal theme. Anyhow, I think it's cute, many a child will have nightmares of their snowmans melting because of it.

Also, was the story written by you? Or did you do the illustration for someone elses writing

I notice these images have a reddish overcast...was that intentional? Or my monitor?

I figure perhaps in the other images..during the winter months maybe there is a color tone overall? Just curious..

Still, it rocks, definitely kid friendly. Shoot over a signed English copy and I'll put it on my kid's shelf.

I also wondered about the red outlines.
I guess it's because of the warm weather which made the snowman melting.

You know those pictures, where you see one pic in different channels?
First the red one, then red+blue, then all channels and at last with blacks, which gives the picture a little more substance .
Yours looks like all channels without the blacks. I'm missing those additional blacks. But hey, the compositions are really nice and childfriendly.
I think it's nonetheless a very good work.

professional quality, no doubt about it. The composition in each piece is well thought out and works perfectly. The color combo is a perfect fit for a children's book and the colored pencil/acrylic technique is seamless. Nice work buddy.

The absence of blacks and the red accents are deliberate. It's part of the style I want for my book illustrations.

As far as childrens illustration goes i can't fault this. You have a trademark colour pallette with kids illustrations. Like the top frame, the angle suits the moment of loss, makes him seem lonely.

well i'm loving the abscene of black with your red lining treatment, it makes the whole image seem more airy, light, dreamy....i'm going to have to try using off color line work now...thats such a cool affect.
